—Sorry, but I _________ it for only half an hour. I haven't finished it.
I think the life in the future will be very1 from now. The technology(技术) will change2—the life in space, the life on the earth and the life of the common people.
The new technology will 3 more ways for the people to move from place to place. There 4 faster trains, for example, the bullet trains(高速列车). The airports will use different kinds of planes. They will be able to 5 all over the world just for a few hours.6 subway stations will be built. My opinion is that the subway stations don't take up any 7 . So they will be the first 8 for people.
The medicine will be improved too.9 will study about the human body more.10 , the human being will be able to live11 than usual. I think the most terrible illnesses of our time will12.
In the future, the robots will take the men's work. People may be out of work. The robots will do the 13 things that people couldn't do. As a result, men will not 14 their jobs. Men and robots can 15 well with each other.

Before you go to another country, it is a great help if you know the language and some of the customs(风俗)of the country.
When people meet each other for the first time in Britain, they say “How do you do?” and shake hands. Usually they do not shake hands when they just meet or say goodbye. But they shake hands when they haven't met for a long time or when they will be away from each other for a long time.
Last year a group of German students went to England for a holiday. Their teacher told them that the English people hardly ever shake hands. So when they met their English friends at the station, they kept their hands behind their backs. The English students had learned that the Germans shake hands as often as possible, so they put their hands in front and got ready to shake hands with them. It made both of them laugh.
In the early days, children went to school without phones, and they did quite well. Now, as the cellphone is becoming an important part of life, a discussion on whether or not a student should take a cellphone to school becomes necessary. However , the decision must be made after an analysis( 分析) of the advantages( 优点) and disadvantages(缺点) of cellphones in school.
With a phone, parents can be in contact (联系) with their children. A cellphone makes the child easily reachable (可到达的). It stops harmful things happening. Also, the children feel safe knowing that they can contact their parents. Parents also feel relaxed.
However, a cellphone can prove (证明) to be distracting (分心的) and take the child's interest and attention away from the activities in school. Using a cellphone in between classes can have a bad effect on progress of students. They would be more interested in sending a text message than reading a story or solving a maths problem. Some students may also use their cellphone for the wrong reasons, such as playing games.
A school is the best place for the general development of children. School not only teaches children things, but also takes care of their physical and mental development. So these advantages of cellphone use in school must be studied carefully before giving a conclusion.
MSF stands for Medicos Sin Fronteras. It's also known as Doctors Without Borders (无国界医生). Medicos Sin Fronteras is French. This organization was set up by some French doctors in 1971. Since then, MSF has sent trained doctors all over the world to help people who have suffered from disasters, such as wars and illness.
Now, about 3,000 doctors and nurses work for MSF. And over 27,000 doctors have volunteered for MSF so far. The organization received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999. All kinds of doctors can volunteer for MSF. They need to be ready to go almost anywhere in the world and, of course, they should face difficulties. Most of MSF's work is in Africa. When MSF chooses doctors for a task, they have to go for at least six months. When doctors have completed a few tasks and become experienced, they might be sent on an emergency (紧急的) task following a disaster, such as an earthquake.
But why would doctors leave a comfortable life and a good pay to join MSF? Some of them say the experience they have is a great help in their life. And they say that it's great to give others a helping hand.
MSF needs support. They get donations from the government and businesses. But 80% of its donations come from doctors themselves.
We all need a healthy environment, but we produce waste every day and it is harmful to our environment. Though we are young, we can still do something to help. In fact, even the simplest everyday activities can make a real difference to the environment. Here are some ideas for you to live a green life.
Remember these three words; reduce, reuse and recycle.
Reduce means" use less". Don't waste things. This saves money and reduces pollution and waste going into the environment. Before we buy something new, think if it is really necessary or maybe the old one will be just as good! When we do buy thing, choose local products if possible, and try not to buy too many things from abroad.
Reuse mean" use again". Use things for as long as possible. When we buy things, make sure that they last a long time. We should take care of them so that they will last, and we should repair them if we can instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. Don't use a paper cup or a paper bag. It's better to use a china cup(瓷杯) and a lunch box because you can use them again.
Recycle means" change things into something else". Although it takes energy to change something into something else, it's better than throwing things away or burning them. Find out what can be recycled in your neighbourhood and take part in recycling programmes. We should also buy products made from recycled materials, such as recycled paper, to help save trees.
