People all over the world pay much attention to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
When talking about what's the most popular design about the Winter Olympics 31(在之中) kids and teenagers, the answer must be the mascot.
Two years ago, a panda called Bing Dwen Dwen was 32 (选择) as the mascot for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. It wears a full-body "shell" made of ice. It looks like an astronaut in a space suit. The idea of Bing Dwen Dwen came from the traditional Chinese snack—bingtanghulu. However, a 35(简单的) snack couldn't stand for a country by itself. So Cao Xue, the president of Guangzhou Fine Art College, who created the mascot, and his 14-member team discussed 36(千) of times, they tried many animals and plants and at 37(最后) decided on a panda. Bing DwenDwen is designed to express the 38(精神) of the Olympic, 39(包括) passion, patience, friendship and common understanding to actively take part in the public.
Now the panda-shape mascot in an ice shell has been made into toys and 40(模型), as well as printed on notebooks, badges and bags. It is welcomed by people all over the world!

Mark had been a hard-working student. But in high school he made friends with some bad guys and changed. Neither did he work hard, 51 (也不) listened to his parents. Finally he 52 (不及格) in one subject. Inside he sensed a strong 53 (悲伤) but never talked to anyone.
One day, the headmaster met him by the fireplace. They 54 (保持不变) silent for 10 minutes. Then the headmaster took out a burning piece of wood and put it in the soil. It kept 55 (加热) for a while and then went out. The headmaster said 56 (耐心地), "Son, staying out for some time didn't make it useless. Let me put it in the fireplace again." Of course, it started burning again.
The headmaster 57 (继续), "Mark, you are just like that piece of wood. Earlier you were an excellent student. Then you fell into bad company. However, that wood found its 58 (价值) again after being put back in the fire. In the same way, you can become one with great achievements."

Living and dealing with kids can be a hard job these days, but living and dealing with parents can be even harder. Since I was a 61 (十几岁的;青少年的) boy, I have learned that communication is very important, 62 (两个都) when you disagree and when you get along. With any relationship, you need to let other people know your feelings. If you are not 63 (能够) to communicate, things will become bad. When you are mad at your parents, not talking to them doesn't make any sense. If you look up the word "communication" in a dictionary, it will say "the exchange of ideas and 64 (信息)." To keep a good relationship, you must keep the communication strong. Let people know how you feel, even if it's just by writing a 65 (笔记). You have to make your parents feel good about how they are doing as parents. If you are trying to make them see something as you see it, tell them that you'll listen to what they say, but ask them 66 (礼貌地) to listen to you. Walking away only makes the situation 67 (更糟的).
This is an example. One night, Sophie went to a street party with her friends. She knew she had to be home by midnight after the fireworks, but she felt it would be rude of her to ask to go home first. As a 68 (结果), she was late getting home. Her parents were angry at first, but when Sophie 69 (解释) why she was late, they weren't so mad. Communication is the key factor here.
Problems can only be 70 (解决) with communication. Just remember, if you get into a situation like Sophie's, tell your parents how you feel.
Debbie and Simon looked up as an old lady got into their office. The lady looked at them both quickly, and then walked over to Debbie. Debbie greeted her 71(礼貌地).
Simon was a little sad and took some papers over to the fax machine. Chris , a senior member of staff from 72(法国), was standing there.
"What's up, Simon? You don't look very happy."
"Customers in all parts of the world always like Debbie better than me. I 73(很少) have them. I can't understand it."
"I can. 74(是否) or not you can do this well depends on the way you communicate. Communicating is not just about speaking. Body language is important, too."
"Body language?"
"I mean your gestures and the 75(表情) on your face. Your whole appearance communicates things as well as your words."
"The way you look at people doesn't give them a good impression, Simon. You often rest your head on your hand. You look down. You never smile. But look at Debbie. She holds her head 76(向上). She looks at people's eyes. She smiles before speaking to them. That's why they go to her for help, and not you."
After that, Simon tried to improve his body language. He sat up and smiled at people. This seemed to 77(起作用). Minutes later, a beautiful girl entered. She looked at Debbie and then Simon. Without thinking 78(两次), she went to Simon and gave him a big smile . A few moments later, she left, still smiling.
Chris came over at once and said, "Well done, Simon. I'm so 79(骄傲) of you. You made a good impression on her."
"That was my sister." said Simon. "She came to 80(提醒) me that tomorrow is her birthday."
Animals are our good friends. We live in the same Earth. Animals and people can't be separated from each other. If there's no animal, we will not live, 81(也). Animals succeed in making the world 82(色彩斑斓的). Every animal has its place in the balance of 83 (自然界). If we destroy a kind of animal, we will have many other problems very soon. For example, when farmers kill a large number of hawks (鹰), the mice will destroy their stores of rice. Because hawks eat mice.84(没有) hawks, the number of mice is becoming larger and larger.
But many people don't85(意识到) this. Along with the increase of population, they kill lots of86(野生的) animals for food, money and other things. They also destroy the animals' living environment. It 87(包括) living places and food situations.
More and more animals are88(濒危的). Giant pandas, a kind of ancient animals which live in the forests and live on89(竹子) leaves, are one of them. Thanks to the government, now, they can just live90(安全地) in the natural protection zones. And our government has made laws to protect animals.
Protecting animals is the duty of each of us. Let us take action!
